MDF Factory's Office

Project Overview

Rasht Industrial City – 2013

The Vina MDF Factory Office was designed in 2013 as an administrative and client-facing building within Rasht Industrial City. The project aimed to create a contemporary identity for an industrial manufacturer while maintaining functional efficiency and cost control.

Unlike typical industrial office blocks that remain purely utilitarian.

Concept

The core idea was to contrast and complement the existing factory structure.

  • The factory shed remains industrial: concrete and metal.
  • The office building introduces warmth and refinement: wood cladding, glass transparency, and water integration.

The design creates a dialogue between industry and architecture, between production and administration.

A strong horizontal volume bridges two masses, forming a dynamic composition that expresses movement and continuity subtly referencing the MDF.

 Spatial Organization

The program was organized to separate functions while maintaining visual continuity:

  • Ground level: reception, meeting areas, and administrative offices

  • Upper level: management offices and collaborative workspace

  • Circular glass pavilion: semi-formal office / client space integrated with landscape and water

  • Bridge connection: symbolic and physical link between factory and office

The elevated volume allows light penetration and creates shaded outdoor areas beneath.
